Lisburn School of Music students who received certificates

LISBURN School of Music was delighted to invite the latest round of successful music exam students to a Certificate Presentation Ceremony on Thursday October 27.

Held in the very comfortable setting of Lisburn Elim Church the ceremony opened with Rachel Stewart singing a lovely rendition of 'Still Hurting' from the musical The Last Years, followed by Zoe McLoughlin playing 'Liberty Bell' on the flute and Gemma McLoughlin joining Stephen on the piano for a lively performance of 'Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho'.

Unfortunately Deputy Mayor Councillor William Leathem was unable to attend the ceremony due to illness, and LSM would like to pass on their kindness regard to Councillor Leathem and his wife, hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

LSM Principal Stephe McLoughlin stood in the breech and offered the students hearty congratulations on their exam success. He commented: "I would be the first to agree that music exams are not a 'one fit all' for those wishing to learn a musical instrument, but they are a great indication of musical progress and a super achievement at any stage of learning'. Stephen also commended the LSM teachers for their hard work, and the parents for their patience.
