THE Eileen Depo McGuigan School of Irish Dancing from Lisburn have taken part in the first European Celtic Irish Dance Festival held recently in EuroDisney Paris.

Teams from Belgium, Canada, America, and all the home countries performed in a week-end long extravaganza of traditional, modern and inventive interpretations of Irish dancing culture.

The dancers entertained a packed audience in the Pavilion Theatre with a showcase of team and individual dances, and all the participating teams led the Disney characters in their daily parade through the park. Lisburn boy, Braiden Lenaghan, presented the festival organisers, Michelle Lee and Rachael Byrne, with the Lisburn City plaque, donated by the Mayor, Alderman Paul Porter, on behalf of the team, and city pennants were donated to all the visiting teachers.
