STUDENTS from Friends School Lisburn recently embarked on a History and Politics trip to London where they had the opportunity to meet with their local MP Jeffrey Donaldson.

The trip began on Sunday November 29 and was led by Mr Montgomery and Mrs Bradfield.

During their visit to London the group paid a visit to St Pancras Station, Chinatown, the Imperial War Museum, Covent Garden and Harrods.

"It was amazing to see the brightness and liveliness of London, and to begin to see the myriad of cultures and peoples our vibrant capital contains," said Victoria Mayers from 13D.

The group also enjoyed a performance of 'Oliver!' at the Theatre Royal and visited Westminster, where they met Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson.

"There's no doubt that we were all sad to say goodbye to London - the trip was both very educational and brilliant fun," added Victoria.

"The chance to see London and spend time in this lively and exciting city was one not to be missed - and thanks to the guidance and organisation of Mr Montgomery and Mrs Bradfield, and the company of our friends, we can safely say it's a trip we'll never forget."
