	THE Mayor, Councillor Allan Ewart, has hosted a civic reception for members of Hillsborough Old Guard in Lagan Valley Island in appreciation of their four years of hard work in compiling a book entitled 'Beloved Of My Heart - Little Hillsborough Town'.

After an enjoyable supper, Harry Shortt (Chairman) and Pearl Finn (Secretary) presented the Mayor with a copy of the book signed by all members of Hillsborough Old Guard.

The book, which was launched at a social evening in Hillsborough Village Centre on Friday 4th December 2009, provides an insight into the history of Hillsborough and, more importantly, village life.
