ACTION MS Chief Executive, Ann Walker, visited Lisnagarvey High School this week for a special Awards Presentation to thank the pupils for their tremendous efforts on their recent Walk for MS.
Some 200 pupils joined the Walk for MS team at Lurgan Park on March 29, where altogether the pupils raised a fantastic total of £3,951.00 in aid of Action MS, Northern Ireland's Multiple Sclerosis Charity.

Lisnagarvey High School is a dedicated supporter of the Walks for MS and has raised thousands of pounds in support of the work of Action MS. Northern Ireland has the second highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world, second only to Scotland. Action MS works all across Northern Ireland to support people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers.

Welcoming Mrs. Walker to the school on Tuesday May 15, Mrs. Laura-Anne Knipe, organiser of the walk said: "Over 200 pupils took part in the sponsored walk for Action MS in Lurgan Park in March and raised £3,951.00."

In thanking the pupils Mrs. Walker said "Thanks to the generosity, dedication and support of schools like Lisnagarvey High School, the Walks for MS are at the core of Action MS fundraising. Action MS supports people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers in Northern Ireland.

Lisnagarvey High School really enjoyed their morning's walk and we are very grateful for their generous support."

Mrs. Walker continued: "The Walks for MS first started over 30 years ago and have directly helped Action MS develop its support from a listening ear service to include support for children and families living with multiple sclerosis, support for young people, free legal advice and Digital Inclusion."
