MISS NI, Tiffany Brien is encouraging local people and businesses from Lisburn to 'take the plunge' for Northern Ireland Hospice by registering for the charity's annual Coffee Morning in September.

The recently crowned Miss NI put her feet up at the shore recently and relaxed with a coffee ahead of Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice.

This year Northern Ireland Hospice will be celebrating the 20th birthday of the annual Coffee Morning and as one of the local charity's biggest fundraising events, they are keen to make it the biggest and best to date by encouraging as many people to take a break for hospice.

Speaking about the event and her willingness to support the cause by hosting a coffee party, Tiffany Brien said, "I am delighted to continue the legacy as ambassador for Northern Ireland Hospice and have been inspired by the amazing work which the charity does in the local community. I would encourage everyone in Lisburn to take a break this September and raise money for local Hospice services. Something so simple as a coffee party can raise £30, enough money to provide an hour of specialist nursing care for a patient being cared for at home. It's all about taking small steps to make a big difference."

Taking part could not be easier and everyone who registers a coffee party with Northern Ireland Hospice will receive everything they need to host the perfect party including a supply of complimentary Bewley's coffee. Posters, invite cards, collection boxes and ideas for making the most of the occasion will also be supplied in every fundraising pack. All you will need to do is brew the coffee, invite some friends and collect a £2 donation for every cup poured.
