Maria Mulholland

MARIA Mulholland, 21 from Moira is a final year law student at Queen's. Recently, she and her boyfirend Alan Macdonald won the Most Stylish Couple in Northern Ireland Award at the Magners Light Ulster Tatler Style Awards.

What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to go clothes shopping and stock u p m y wardrobe with the latest trends. I also like having a lie in.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
My favourite meal is Scampi and Chips in my local restaurant Moira Drive Thru. It offers fresh, locally produced food, cooked to the highest standards at a good value price.

What has been your proudest moment?
Being Godmother to my little baby sister Grace who is now two.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
I'm really frightened of spiders and my little brother put a massive one in my bed - I screamed the house down.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Feminine, sophisticated, elegant and always on trend.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I would help out family and friends and take everybody on a big holiday. I would go shopping in New York and take Alan and myself to all the big fashion shows in all the fashion capitals.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I was nine years old I went swimming and when I got back to my locker my trousers were missing and they never turned up. The journey from the changing room to the car was very difficult and needless to say it was very embarrassing.

What music do you like?
I love musicals so anything out of the big musicals.

What sports person do you most admire?
Dame Mary Peters

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
My best ever holiday was when Alan and I went to Florida last summer, the weather, the shops, the theme parks, the food, everything was amazing. My dream holiday would be to go back to Florida and take my little sister to Disney.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
My greatest remaining ambition is to be a very successful lawyer.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
I am not really interested in celebrity. But I would love to spend the day with President Obama.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
My phone, teabags and a blanket.
