Joanne
Reel, 27, is the new Marketing Officer for Lagan Valley Island
Conference Centre. She previously worked for Castle Leslie Estate in
County Monaghan for four years. Joanne has been married for three and a
half years to husband Christopher.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to spend my days off relaxing with my husband, out
shopping with my mum or sister or visiting friends.
If you were to choose your favourite meal
what would it be, where and why?
I know I am slightly biased having worked there but I would
have to say the fillet steak at Castle Leslie Estate.
What has been your proudest moment?
It would be either graduating with a first class honours from
my degree course in Communications, Advertising and Marketing or
receiving an award from the University and Botanic Inns for my final
year dissertation on 'Communicating Customer Satisfaction.
What was the most frightening moment of your
life?
The time I took an allergic reaction and almost went into
anaphylactic shock. Thankfully my mum was there. She is a nurse and knew
what to do.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
I Love smart, classic clothes. I really admire Jessica Alba's
style - she always looks effortlessly stylish and chic.
What would you do if you won a million
pounds?
I am addicted to watching A Place in the Sun, 'Relocation,
Relocation, Relocation' and all other house programmes, so I would
definitely buy a gorgeous villa in somewhere hot -Lake Garda would be
perfect.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
A few years ago, I said to a friend 'It must be lashing down
outside!' but unfortunately it wasn't - It was just that her hair needed
a wash.
What music do you like?
I absolutely love James Morrison - I listen to his new album
'Songs for you, Truths for me' all the time when driving. I also love
R&B music.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream
holiday be?
My best ever holiday was a trip to Thailand a few years ago
with my husband. We stayed on Phuket but I would absolutely love to go
back and experience Koh Samui - it is supposed to be amazing. Also at
some point, my husband and I plan to travel around China.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
My overall ambition in life is to be successful in my work life
and to live a long and happy life with my husband, family and friends.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity
whom would you choose?
I would love to spend a day with Barack Obama - I think he is
an inspiration.
If you were stranded on a desert island what
three things would you want with you?
My Husband, food and a satellite phone.
