ALICE KINGHAM

ALICE KinghamALICE Kingham,17, from Broomhedge is a pupil at Lurgan College. She hopes to be a journalist and would like to go to university. She was at the Star recently finding out more about journalism.

What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to play badminton and tennis, spending time with my friends or my niece, shopping (of course), going to Ravenhill to see Ulster Rugby or to concerts.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
I love Chinese food and there's a brilliant Chinese restaurant in Londonderry (but I can't remember its name). I love the food there because its of great quality.

What has been your proudest moment?
When I won a trip for my classmates to Strasbourg to the European Parliament for designing a leaflet about the European Union.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Absailing. I was terrified but it felt good for facing my fear of heights.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Unique, colourful and usually pink

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Get myself a decent car, go around the world a bit (America, Australia) and give some to cancer research.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
No comment.

What music do you like?
Anything catchy; Katy Perry or Rihanna. I love rock music and my favourite bands are Paramore and Snow Patrol.

What sports person do you most admire?
Rafael Nadal; especially when he beat Federer at Wimbledon.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
It would be Paris for me because of the amazing food and great weather. There is so much to do in Paris, so much to see - the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and of course Disneyland Paris.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To become a journalist.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
Johnny Depp.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
Zac Efron (from High School Musical), my laptop and chocolate.
