BACK by popular demand, Sunflowerfest 2011, Northern Ireland's very own answer to Woodstock and Glastonbury, will take place from August 19-21 at Tubby's Farm in the countryside just outside Hillsborough.

A fantastic weekend of live music, arts, crafts, comedy, poetry and food is on the agenda with more than 60 bands performing live on three stages during the weekend. Like Woodstock, Glastonbury and Electric Picnic, Sunflowerfest is founded on the principles of love, positivity, tolerance and smiles where everyone is invited to relax and just be themselves. Everyone is welcome at Sunflowerfest and children and families are especially encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities.

Children under the age of 12 will enjoy free entry when accompanied by an adult and Sunflowerfest's dedicated Kidz Zone has lots of fun activities to keep younger festival- goers entertained throughout the weekend. Families also have access to a separate and especially reserved family camping area for peace of mind and quiet.

Back by popular demand, Fra Gunn, actor and story teller and Mary-Frances Doherty will be hosting the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in the Enchanted Glade of Mystery & Surprises on both Saturday and Sunday from 4:30pm. Audience participation is very much welcome and encouraged.

Small informal games of football will take place on a small pitch at the end of the main arena. Participants will make up teams, join in and have non competitive kick around in between sets.

The Belfast Youth Circus will also be performing on the Friday afternoon at 5pm.

Other family and kid friendly activities at Sunflowerfest include kids music, art/craft workshops, sponge throwing, making 'dream makers', paper sculpting, clay modeling, circus workshops, kids yoga, face painting, puppet shows and storytelling.

Festival-goers can also enjoy some of the many different complementary therapies on offer including: reiki; Tarot card readings; reflexology; Indian head massage; iridology; chakra balance healing and crystal therapy.
