Jobs boost as work begins on Seymour Street development

An artist's impression of how the Seymour Street development could look.WORK has begun on a retail and office development in Seymour Street, which could see some 70 jobs created in the city centre.

Co Tyrone based company Sean Devine Construction began work on the site, which will include high specification offices and retail units at the front of the site, as well as 48 apartments, which have been bought by Clanmil Housing Association.

The retail units are 1442sq ft and 1862sqft and the offices vary from 807 sqft to 1948sqft.

Sharon Espana from the Sean Devine Construction explained: Espana units for sale are not too big and would probably suit practices such as dentists, solicitors, training centres or any smaller to medium sized businesses and more than one unit can be purchased together.

"Sean Devine Construction will be building these offices and retail units to the standards expected for 2010. All units will have plush toilet and shower facilities, for those of us who now cycle to work or for that after-work dinner or evenings out with colleagues.

"There will also be basement car-parking facilities, as well as bike stores," she added.
