Orlagh's painting catches judge's eye

LISBURN student, Orlagh Gillen's work of art has caught the eye of the judges in this year's 55th Texaco Children's Art Competition.

17-year-old Orlagh, a student at Rathmore Grammar School, entered her painted 'Dolphins Leaping' into the competition, and it is one of the entries which has captured the attention of competition co-ordinator Anne-Marie Barnes during the judging of entries for this year's competition.

This year, over 34,000 entries were received, some 2,624 of which came from Northern Ireland. Winners will be announced this month followed by the prize giving ceremony, which will take place in May.
