Royal Black Institution exhibition and banner display

The recently formed Lisburn Black Cultural and Educational Society held a lecture, exhibition and banner display at the Pond Park Black Hall, Lisburn last weekend (Friday 14th and Saturday 15th August) to mark Lisburn Royal Black District Chapter No 1 hosting the County Antrim ‘Last Saturday’ demonstration in Lisburn in this the historic occasion of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Lisburn. On Friday evening, a lecture on the ‘Ethos and Basis of the Royal Black Institution’ by William Logan MBE, a past Sovereign Grand Master of the Royal Black Institution, was followed by a light supper. The exhibition of private preceptory banners and memorabilia remained on display on Saturday morning and afternoon for those unable to attend on Friday evening.
