Minister to wed

Rev Stephen HannaTHE Royal Wedding won't be the only marriage ceremony being celebrated by members of Lisburn Congregational Church next week.

For the Rev Stephen Hanna, who was inducted as their new minister last May, is also getting married.

Mr. Hanna will marry Cookstown woman Irene Gilmore on Wednesday 27th April in Donaghey Congregational Church, Cookstown - just two days before William and Kate.

Mr Hanna was brought up in Ballyhackamore, East Belfast and got much of his early Christian education at Calvary Baptist Church, Dee Street, Belfast.

He became a Christian at just 11 years of age and as a young teenager decided to train for the Christian ministry.

After three years training (2000-2003) at the Irish Baptist College he gained a Diploma in Pastoral and Theological Studies.

In November 2003 he became Youth and Community Officer at Albertbridge Road Congregational Church and in September 2006 became Assistant Minister of Ballynahinch Congregational Church where he was Ordained in November 2007.
