HARMONY Hill Presbyterian Church, Lambeg was packed for the annual harvest thanksgiving service on Sunday morning, October 9.

The Church was suitably decorated with fruit, vegetables and flowers to reflect the successful harvest with which we had been blessed. The Choir contributed appropriate anthems and the Minister, Rev. David Knox, used the section from Matthew 7, verses 15 to 23, A tree and its fruit,' as the basis for his sermon.

The speaker at the evening harvest service was Rev. Stephen McElhinney from neighbouring Derryvolgie Parish Church, St Columbas, Belsize Road, Lisburn. Guests from both Derryvolgie and Lambeg Parish Churches were also present and the music was provided by the choirs of Lambeg Parish and Harmony Hill Presbyterian Churches, with Mr Nicholas Trimble as organist. An excellent supper was provided after the service.
