Mayoral reception marks 40th anniversary of 4th Lisburn BB

LISBURN Mayor Alderman Paul Porter hosted a reception for past and present officers and friends of 4th Lisburn Boys' Brigade Company in Lagan Valley Island recently.

The BB Company, which is affiliated to Lisburn Congregational Church, is celebrating its 40th
Anniversary.

The Company was formed in 1971 and the first Enrolment Service was held in November of that year under the Captaincy of Harold Clarke who was the special guest at the reception.
The current Captain is Uel Mackin and the Company President is Robert Orr.

Other celebratory events planned include a concert this Saturday 5th March at 7.30pm; Display on Friday 8th April at 7.30pm; Re-union Dinner on Saturday 9th April at 7.30pm; and a Celebration Service on Sunday 10th April at 6.30pm
