Dromore man Andrew Masters has been appointed Co-ordinator of Youth and Family Work at Railway Street Presbyterian Church.  Twenty-three old Andrew, who commenced his employment on Monday 5th January, will be commissioned at a special service on Sunday 16th February at 10.30am.

Andrew is the son of Michael and Ruth Masters, also from Dromore.  He attended Wallace Prep to P4 stage then Dromore Central Primary School before progressing to Banbridge Academy.  After A-levels he worked with Youth For Christ for three years, based in Dromore.  In August 2006 he moved to Los Angeles where he studied theology and leadership while working as a College Catalyst at Mosaic Church.  During this time he met his future wife Dana, who was Music Director at the church.  The couple were married on 1st November 2008 in Dana’s hometown of Columbia, South Carolina after which they moved to Northern Ireland.

Andrew, who lists as his interests hill walking, movies and music, played rugby for Dromore after leaving school.  During his time as Youth and Family Worker in Lisburn, he hopes to help young people discover how to effectively give back something to the community.
