Romanian Pastor weds Bangor bride

Former Romanian, Pastor Nick Serb, minister of Mount Zion Free Methodist Church, Lisburn and his Bangor bride Michele Darragh were married in Mount Zion Free Methodist Church on Tuesday 16th December.  Nick is the son of Pastor Nicolae Serb (senior) and Aurelia Serb from Fagaras, Romania and Michele is the daughter of Norman and Karan Darragh from Bangor, Co Down.

The Rev Jeremy Forsythe, minister of Bangor Free Methodist Church conducted the marriage ceremony and Nick’s father, Pastor Nicolae Serb gave the address to the newly weds.

In attendance were Bridesmaid Melanie Patterson, Best Man Stephen Downey, Flower Girls Emma and Rulaca Dubei and Ushers Danny Serb and David Darragh.  The reception was held in Belfast Castle.  Last Sunday (18th January) the couple left for their honeymoon, a two week Caribbean Cruise.

Pastor Serb was inducted as the new minister of Mount Zion Free Methodist Church at a Welcome and Induction Service on Friday 9th February 2007 and the newly weds now occupy the new manse at 51a Mandeville Avenue, which was dedicated on Sunday 17th August 2008.
