The Rev Dr Peter Mercer, the new minister of Broomhedge and Magheragall Methodist Churches was welcomed to the Lisburn and Dromore Methodist Circuit by the Rev Brian Anderson, Superintendent Minister, at a service in Seymour Street Methodist Church last Sunday evening. Also taking part were the Rev Roy Cooper (District Superintendent),

The service also gave opportunity to mark the retirement of two remarkable men of God. A presentation of a certificate to mark 55 years as a local preacher was made to Mr Hubert Maze. Rev Winston Good has acted in the role of Pastoral Visitor in Seymour Street for the 10 years from his retirement from what Methodists call the “Active Work.” He has decided the time has come for full retirement and the Circuit wanted to thank him for his faithful visiting and Pastoral Ministry. Both men desire a long retirement and God’s blessing was asked for each.
