A SECOND edition of a local man's book entitled 'Lisburn's Rich Church Heritage' has been launched due to popular demand.

The 1500 copies of the first edition of the book by John Kelly proved to be such a hit that it sold out in just three weeks.

John has now used the opportunity of a second edition to make the book even better.

"A number of changes have taken place in some of our churches since the first publication, in June and these are reflected in this new edition" he explained.

In addition to these changes, John has included a further 200 pictures (making over 900 in total) including a new section of family photos.

The new edition is currently on sale at just £5 at Café Vic-Ryn, Greens, Smyth Patterson's and Your Store (Harmony Heights).

A book signing will take place on Friday December 4 from 10am to 12 noon at Café Vic-Ryn. The Mayor, Councillor Allan Ewart, Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson, local clergy and Mr Victor Hamilton, the main sponsor of the book, will be in attendance.

If you can't get to the book signing, it would be a good idea to get a copy of the book as soon as possible because, as John explains: When they are gone - they are gone; there will definitely be no third edition or re-print".
