A 'THANK you' coffee morning was held recently at Seymour Street Methodist Church to recognise a group of Damask volunteers.

In welcoming all present Damask Chairman, the Rev-Brian Anderson, said the organisation had already made an impact on the community since its launch in the second part of last year and much of this success was attributed directly to those volunteers who had committed themselves to undertake various roles.

Mr Anderson went on to say he had been impressed by the dedication shown by the volunteers and how their input had enhanced the Damask programmes.

Looking to the future Mr Anderson said the role of the volunteers would play a significant part in the development of Damask plans and all concerned were thanked for their help.

A 'thank you for being a local here' badge presented by Volunteer Now with the support of the Northern Ireland Executive supported by the Department of Social Development was given to each attendee.
