Q&A

ALISON KnoxALISON Knox, 26, from Lisburn works for Serious PR in Moira. After leaving school she studied psychology and marketing before taking up her current position.

What do you like doing on your day off?
I love shopping, spending time with my friends and family especially my niece and nephews, socialising and walking (I am currently trying to get fit for the Race For life in Lurgan).

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
Over the last four years my friends and I have developed a special food game called 'sandwich jenga' it's a fine art and best enjoyed in Masseube (south of France). Whenever we eat this it reminds me of the great holidays and fun we have had over the years.

What has been your proudest moment?
Walking across the stage in the Edinburgh Festival theatre to receive my degree many thought I would never make it.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Standing at the top of a very steep ski slope in the French Alps and forgetting how to ski and wondering why I had two planks of wood strapped to my feet.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Very normal. I don't really go for anything outrageous but prefer mad bags and shoes.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I would build my dream home and buy a fab car. Then share the rest with my family and possibly a shilling or two to Davy Armstrong for his tolerance whilst teaching me journalism.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I fainted down the stairs in our school assembly hall and smacked my head repeatedly off the wall - I don't think anyone noticed.

What music do you like?
I like most things from chart to country my ipod is a real mix and I get absolutely slated for it.

What sports person do you most admire?
I have a great admiration for the blind waterskier Janet Gray, for her to have achieved so much and gone on against the odds takes real courage and strength.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
In 2000 we spent four days in Boston, skied in Colorado and finished with a week in Florida. This is my ideal combination of holidays; skiing. sightseeing, shopping and sun. I would love to do this again but visit different locations.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I would love to go to Africa and spend time in the Fields for Life project (Uganda).

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
The actress Helen Mirren, I admire her work and think she would be a fascinating person to spend time with.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
My best friend, my ipod and the Chronicles of Narnia (there should be enough in them to keep me going).
