LISBURN based Oasis Travel is the sole Northern Ireland travel
agency to be selected as a finalist in the forthcoming TTG
(Travel Trade Gazette) Travel Awards.
Oasis, which is the current Northern Ireland
Travel Agent of the Year, has been shortlisted in the Retail
Team of the Year category. The company is one of six UK travel
agencies and travel sales teams to be selected for the award and
will attend the gala final in London's Grosvenor House Hotel
next month.
The award recognises retail travel teams who
have achieved outstanding success over the past 12 months,
acknowledging how those teams have implemented innovative
business plans and improved their product knowledge, customer
service and profile building.
Managing Director of Oasis Travel, Sandra
Corkin, said she was delighted her team of 34 has been
shortlisted. "I'm extremely proud of the Oasis Travel team who
have embraced the changes, worked hard and shown commitment to
providing excellent customer service' she said. "We're a close
knit unit and have worked hard over the last year to develop the
business and further improve our customer offering.
"This has involved a number of changes,
including the expansion of our Cruise Centre in Holywood and
enhancing our 'Portfolio Suite' concept for luxurious holidays,"
she added. "We have also invested heavily in staff training
programmes, educational visits to cruise ships and industry
conferences, and marketing activity."
