Afternoon tea, served by the pastoral care and friendship visitors team, was enjoyed by senior members of Railway Street Presbyterian Church on Sunday 25th May. Afterwards, the seniors joined with other members of the congregation for a special 'Evening of Praise' to commemorate the introduction of instrumental music into church services in Railway Street, when an organ was installed in 1908. The minister, the Rev Brian Gibson, conducted the service and the church choir, under the leadership of Janet Ferguson, Director of Music, led the praise. The guest organist was the Rev Dr Jack Richardson MBE, Minister Emeritus of Hillhall Presbyterian Church. The service was held in the newly refurbished sanctuary, which will be re-dedicated next Sunday morning (1st June) at 10.30am.
