 The Rev Robert Neill, Rector of Holy Trinity Church, Drumbo was
installed as Canon by the Very Rev Henry Hull, Dean of Down, at
a Service of Installation in Down Cathedral, Downpatrick last
Tuesday night (25th September). The preacher was The Ven Philip
Patterson, Archdeacon of Down.
Mr Neill was appointed Prebendary of Talpestone in succession to
The Rt Rev Canon Alan Abernethy, former Rector of Ballyholme
Parish, who was installed and enthroned as Connor?s new Bishop
in Lisburn Cathedral on Thursday 6th September. Mr Neill, who
recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his Ordination was
ordained in Down Cathedral on 29th June 1977 and was instituted
in Holy Trinity Church, Drumbo in September 1998.
