Action Cancer Family Service in Trinity Methodist Church

The 6th annual Inter-Denominational Family Service of Celebration and Praise celebrating over thirty-four years of Action Cancers caring support was held in Trinity Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon 2nd December.

The programme was directed by Brian Trainor and hosted by Stephen McIlwrath, who opened in prayer. Norma Bell MBE, Chairperson of the Lisburn Action Cancer Group, welcomed the large congregation. Taking part were Killowen Primary School (Conducted by Wesley Wright and accompanied by Elaine Glendining), Friends School Instrumental Group (Conductor Peter Hunter), Friends School Chamber Choir (Rosemary Debois), Trinity Praise Team and Ryan Liggett and his friend (a real live hen) narrated a poem. The soloists were: Joanna Hyndman (accompanied by Shannon Rainey), Bronagh Mullan (accompanied by Stephen McLoughlin), Lynn McAllister (accompanied by Barry McGonigle) and Patsy Douglas (accompanied by Edna Downing with vocal backing my members of St Patricks Choir). The instrumentalists were: Hayley Howe (Violin) accompanied by Jonathan Rea; Brendan Monaghan (Uilleann pipes) and Claire Chapman (Harp). The congregational hymns were: At The Name of Jesus and Come on and Celebrate.

Norma Bell thanked all gave of their time and helped in any way and Arthur Scott closed in prayer.
