30 people abseil down Magheragall Parish Church tower

A large crowd of spectators gathered at Magheragall Parish Church on Saturday 3rd June to watch thirty people take part in a sponsored abseil down the church tower.  Officers and members took part and also nine-year-old Jonathan Blair, pensioner - Joe Nelson and bride to be Karen Carberry who is getting married on the 17th June.  The event was organised by the Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade and proceeds from the event will be donated to Parish Funds and CL & CGB.  In an interview after the event, CGB (Martins) Leader - Patricia Evans who completed the abseil dressed as Robin said, It was a great experience, but terrifying - never again.
