Dunmurry Girls� Brigade Display

Margaret McDonald - Captain. Dunmurry Girls� Brigade Company 58th Annual Display was held in Dunmurry Presbyterian Church hall on Friday 7th April 2006.  The Chairman was the Rev. John Braithwaite; the Guest of Honour was Margaret Megahey - Secretary of the Girls� Brigade Lagan District; and the Pianist was Ruth Sedgewick.

The Captain of the 40th N.I. Girl�s Brigade Company, Dunmurry, is Margaret McDonald and the President is the minister�s wife, Mary Braithwaite.  The programme for this their 58th Annual Display included:  P.E., Moses and Skipping -Tiny Tots/Explorers; Marching, Shakers - Juniors; P.E. - Seniors; Lets Dance around the World - Company; and Lord of the Dance - Juniors/Seniors/Brigaders/Associates.

After the Presentation of Awards, the Guest of Honour, Margaret Megahey, congratulated the Captain, Leaders and Girls on a wonderful display saying that she enjoyed every item, and concluded by wishing them all God�s richest blessing.  The Chairman, the Rev. John Braithwaite, ended the display with the benediction.

Jennifer Dowds is pictured receiving the Brigader Brooch from her Grandmother Phyllis Gill.  Jennifer will be going to live in Taraunga, New Zealand on 30th May 2006.  During the Presentation of Awards, Margaret McDonald - Captain (left) fought to hold back tears as she presented Jennifer with a transfer form for her new Girls� Brigade Company in New Zealand.
